Sammi: The First 6 Months

The First Six Month's of Sammi's precious life!
Well, this is where it all began. On July 18, 2001, Mom was sent to the hospital for an induction. The amniotic fluid was low and the baby appeared to be in some distress. At 7am on July 19, 2001, the doctor started the Pitocin to get labor going. By 12:30 Mom was 5cm dilated and asking for the epidural. At 1:15pm, as the "EPI MAN!" was walking out of the room, Mom said she had to push. Sure enough, she was 10cm. At 2:33pm, Samantha Berk was born!!!

Here are some images from the first 6 months of Sammi's life. We have also included information on her growth as well as significant milestones during this time. Don't forget to visit the Family Photo page as well as the Ofoto Links to see even more pictures of Samantha.

Just moments after she arrived on the scene!
Sammi was born at 2:33 pm on July 19, 2001. She weighed 6 lbs, 12 ounces and was 21 inches long!
This was taken when she was about 6 weeks old.
That smile gets us every time!

At one month, Sammi was 21 and 1/2 inches long and weighed 8 pounds, 3 ounces.

At two months, she was 22 and 1/2 inches long and weighed 10 pounds, 1 and 1/2 ounces.
This was always one of my favorites!!
Just shows what a happy baby she has always been. This was taken when she was 3 months old.

At 3 months, Sammi was 23 and 1/2 inches long and weighed 11 pounds, 11 ounces.
Sammi's First Halloween
Sammi was a lion for her first Halloween. This is a picture of her with her mommy and her Grandpa...guess Grandpa was dressed as a Giants Fan!
Sammi's First Hanukah
Here is Samantha during her first Hanukah celebration. She was spoiled rotten, of course!!
Five and a Half Months Old
By 5 and 1/2 months, Sammi was sitting up on her own. As you can see, she really started to play with her toys and became quite interactive.
Six Months Old
Now weighing 16 pounds, 1 ounce, Sammi was 27 inches long.

By six months she was sitting up well, smiling, laughing, babbling and, yipppeee, sleeping through the night!! Her first tooth was starting to make its appearance as well. She was really developing into quite the smart, playful, loving little girl.
